Manufacturing Process

We run 24 hour production which is crucial for a number of reasons.
  • Commercially to keep costs low (more output from the same fixed costs).
  • Product Quality as extrusion equipment runs best when operated on a continuous basis.
  • Your lead times as it gives us more production capacity and flexibility to prioritise urgent jobs.
  • Contaminant free delivery of raw material direct into the extruders – maximum hygiene for your goods.
  • Environmental cost savings as no baling sacks and pallets as with traditional bagged deliveries are used.
  • Working condition improvements for our operators – less manual movement and heavy lifting of polymer, so we can concentrate on extrusion production itself.
We operate wide range of high-speed plastic extrusion machines to extrude the following materials:
  • Polypropylene (PP) films
  • High molecular High Density PE (HM-HDPE) films
  • Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) films

The PP, HM-HDPE and LDPE films are extruded by the rotating platform process, which ensures uniform thickness of the bags, flat tubes, sheets, carry bags, laminated pouches, stand-up pouches, zipper pouches and retort pouches. In these machines poly rolls of PP having the width ranging from 1.5 inches to 28 inches and HM of width ranging from 4 inches to 48 inches with thickness varying from 41 microns to 200 microns can be extruded in transparent form and also by using master batch colours. These products are extruded from virgin raw materials, hence these are recyclable and eco-friendly.

We run 10 extruders, a number of which have film treaters, in-line printers and double unwinds for sheeting production.

When compared to other companies, we specialise in short run and narrower width films and as far as possible we ensure that at least 2 extruders have the capability to run every product size. This gives maximum flexibility for production planning in ensuring we can achieve your lead time needs.

After a major investment project with 3 new extruders, recent extrusion investment includes print units, improved air rings and chillers, a new wide winder plus jumbo take-off units.

Quality checks performed at this stage:
  • Width of the bag is tested by measuring with scale manually.
  • The thickness is measured and checked for accuracy with the help of micrometer
  • The strength of the bag is checked by tensile meter.
